Refund and Cancellation Policy
This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) is to be read together with, the Terms and Conditions. This Policy governs cancellations, returns, replacements, and refunds in respect of Orders placed on the Platform. Given that drone electronics are precision components rather than commodity goods, this Policy is calibrated to that risk profile: Aerodock stands fully behind manufacturing defects, transit damage, and its own errors, but consistent with standard practice across the FPV and UAV components trade, and without prejudice to your statutory rights in respect of defective goods does not entertain change-of-mind returns of used, opened, or installed electronics.
Cancellation Prior to Dispatch
An Order may be cancelled, without charge and for a full refund, at any time before it has been dispatched from Aerodock’s warehouse. To exercise this right, you must notify Aerodock by WhatsApp or email, quoting your Order number. Refunds arising from cancellation under this Clause shall be credited to the original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days of confirmation of cancellation.
Cancellation After Dispatch
Once an Order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled. Upon delivery, any grievance in respect of the Order shall be governed exclusively by the return, replacement, and refund process set out in Clauses 3 to 6 below.
Eligibility for Return, Replacement, or Refund
Subject to the category-specific windows in Clause 4 and the exclusions in Clause 5, a claim shall be considered only where it is reported within forty-eight (48) hours of the recorded delivery time, accompanied by clear photographic or video evidence, and falls within one of the following categories:
Dead-on-Arrival (DOA): the Product fails to power on or perform its basic described function, straight out of the box.
Shipping damage: visible damage to the Product or its packaging is apparent on arrival.
Wrong item or mismatch: the Product delivered differs in identity, variant, or specification from that ordered.
Missing parts: accessories or components listed on the product page are absent from the package.
You are strongly advised to record an unedited, continuous unboxing video for frames, stacks, and boxed kits where concealed damage may not be apparent without opening the package. Such a recording materially assists, and in cases of disputed condition may be determinative of, the assessment of any claim under this Policy.
Category-Specific Warranty Windows
Flight controllers, ESCs, VTXs, PDBs, and AIO stacks: a seven (7) day DOA / manufacturer-defect warranty applies. Any soldering, desoldering, or physical modification of the unit voids this warranty with immediate effect.
LiPo and Li-ion batteries: a forty-eight (48) hour DOA warranty applies, covering dead-on-arrival units only. Batteries exhibiting signs of overcharge, physical impact, swelling attributable to misuse, or improper storage are excluded from coverage. This restriction is a safety-driven measure necessitated by the hazardous nature of lithium cells, and not a matter of commercial convenience.
Motors: a seven (7) day manufacturer-defect warranty applies. Motors exhibiting a bent shaft, bearing damage attributable to a crash, or visible impact marks are excluded.
Frames, hardware, propellers, and connectors: eligible for replacement only where shipping damage or missing parts are reported within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Ready-to-fly drones: a seven (7) day DOA warranty applies, covering manufacturing defects verified against the pre-flight checklist supplied in the box.
Exclusions
Notwithstanding anything contained in this Policy, the following are expressly excluded from return, replacement, or refund:
Products that have been flown, soldered, glued, mechanically modified, or that show visible evidence of a crash;
Damage attributable to electrostatic discharge, power surges, incorrect input voltage, or reversed polarity;
Products returned without their original packaging, labels, or bundled accessories;
Clearance, sale, and custom build-configurator Orders, save where a genuine manufacturing defect is established;
Any claim raised after the applicable reporting window prescribed in Clause 4 has lapsed.
The exclusions in this Clause 5 operate without prejudice to, and do not derogate from, the non-excludable statutory protections available to a “consumer” under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in respect of goods that are inherently defective at the time of sale.
Return Procedure
To initiate a claim, you must contact Aerodock by WhatsApp or email with your Order ID, a description of the issue, and supporting photographic or video evidence. Aerodock’s technical team shall review the claim and, where warranted, issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (“RMA”) number. No return shall be accepted, and no consignment shall be processed, without a valid RMA number clearly marked on the returned package. Upon receipt and inspection of the returned Product, Aerodock shall, at its discretion and subject to stock availability, issue a replacement or process a refund.
Refunds
Approved refunds shall be credited to the original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days of completion of inspection. Shipping charges incurred on the original Order are non-refundable, save where the return arises from Aerodock’s own error namely, dispatch of the wrong item, shipping damage, or a defect confirmed upon Aerodock’s inspection in which case such charges shall also be refunded. Return shipping costs shall be borne by Aerodock where the fault is attributable to Aerodock, and by you in all other approved returns.
Final Authority and Resolution Timeline
Aerodock reserves the right, acting reasonably and in good faith, to accept, reject, or adjust any return, replacement, or refund request on the basis of its inspection findings. Aerodock shall endeavour to resolve every claim within seven (7) business days of receiving the returned Product. This Clause does not affect your right to escalate an unresolved grievance through the mechanism set out in Clause 13 of the Terms and Conditions.
